Sarah had a bit of luck and did a great job in capturing, on video, Tommy roll over for the first time. He is three months and three days old. Sarah's play-by-play reminds me of Bobby Thompson's shot heard round the world.

More Christmas photos 2006

Christmas 2006
So many wonderful pictures from Tommy's first Christmas... I'll have to post twice. We had a blessed, wonderful Christmas - we hope all of you did too.
Tommy was completely calm when meeting Santa... and Santa wanted to take Tommy home for Mrs. Claus, but we talked him out of it.
The little red chair photo - the chair has been in the Hoffmann family for many, many years and we have pictures of most of us in the chair as kids. Now we have one of Tommy too!
We found out that Tommy's Great Aunt and Uncle in Virginia Beach, VA follow this blog - so hello to Larry and Dianne! Happy Holidays everyone!

2 Month Doctor's Appointment
Tommy had his big 2 month doctor's appointment today! Here are his new stats:
Weight: 14 pounds, 1/2 ounce (90-95 percentile)
Height: 24" (75-90 percentile)
Head: 16 5/8" (95 percentile)
He's a Big Boy!
Tommy had 4 shots, and I've never heard that kind of screaming from him, but it was over in a minute, and he calmed down very well. He's been sleeping ever since. Such a good boy! Dr. Bodine said Tommy is doing great, he checked him out thoroughly, we asked all of our questions, and everything is right on track. When Dr. Bodine was looking in Tommy's ears, Tommy grabbed a tongue depressor from his pocket, and basically handed it to the doc. It was pretty adorable - especially because it was the next thing the doctor needed to use. Tommy is just a good helper already!
The other big news - Tommy slept 8.5 hours uninterrupted last night. Woohoooooo!!!! He's had a few nights of 6-7 hours in the past week, but this is a new record. Pray that it continues!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Luncheon for Tommy in Kerkhoven
The Larsen's threw a luncheon/baby shower for Tommy in Kerkhoven a few weekends ago and we had a great time! We were completely overwhelmed by the great turnout, and all of the wonderful presents. It felt great to have Tommy meet so many of his Larsen relatives! He looked like such a big boy in his little preppy outfit - so many people held him and cuddled him that he had sweat right through his shirt by the time I held him again at the end of the shower. But he was a good boy - loved every minute of it I think. And, now he has his first John Deere tractors... which of course means his dad will be sure to get him some AGCO toys right away! SO thank you to the Larsens for a great shower!!!! I love the first photo - 3 generations of Larsen men!

Do you like my hat?
Surprisingly enough, Tommy doesn't mind his car seat. What a blessing for us, as we've gone on two substantial car trips the past two weekends, and he's been great. But - the reason I took this picture is his adorable hat. It was made by one of my dad's coworkers in New Ulm that is a family friend, and we get SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on it, and Tommy looks like such a doll in it. So Thank You Chris for the great hat - hope you like the photo!
Chris and Katie's Wedding
We had a great time at Chris and Katie's wedding this past weekend. Tommy was well behaved, and was passed around most of the night. He was a good sport! Here is the happy couple meeting Tommy, and in the other photo, you can tell that we all had a good time! Thanks for the great time, and Congrats to Chris and Katie!

Our 2nd Wedding Anniversary!
Tommy had his first babysitter when Mike and I went out for our wedding anniversary yesterday. I was stressed out, we didn't venture too far from home, but we had a good time at dinner and Tommy was very well behaved for Aunt Sandy. Things are going well - Tommy is now 3 weeks old, and at the doctor's office on Monday, he weighed 10 pounds, 2 ounces! We aren't sleeping as much as we'd like, and the house is in slight disarray, but we are loving every minute with adorable little Tommy. We really have been blessed with a very sweet son! He changes everyday!
